Yes. All Aero-Vac forgings are fully traceable to mill test reports (MTRs) and certified to the applicable AMS, BMS, DMS, ASTM, or MIL-Spec standard. AMS 6370 covers 4130 steel (0.95Cr 0.20Mo, 0.28–0.33C) for bars, forgings, and rings—a general-purpose medium-strength chromium-molybdenum alloy. AMS 6382 covers 4140 (0.95Cr 0.20Mo, 0.38–0.43C) offering higher carbon content and greater strength for more demanding structural applications. AMS 6409 covers 4340 (0.80Cr 1.8Ni 0.25Mo, 0.38–0.43C) in special aircraft quality, providing superior toughness and hardenability making it one of the most widely used high-strength steels in aerospace landing gear, shafts, and critical structural components. All three are available as bars, forgings, and tubing with appropriate aerospace quality certifications.

For Douglas Material Standards, we supply DMS 1800 (Steel Forgings), DMS 1834 (Aluminum Forgings), DMS 1881 (Titanium Forgings), and DMS 2098 (Aluminum Alloy Forgings, Premium Grade 7075/7175). Maraging steels are ultra-high-strength, low-carbon steels that achieve their strength through precipitation (maraging) rather than quench and temper. AMS 6512 covers 18Ni Maraging 300 (18Ni 7.8Co 4.9Mo) bars and forgings, consumable electrode vacuum melted and annealed—achieving tensile strengths over 285 ksi after aging. AMS 6514 covers Maraging 350 (18.5Ni 9.0Co 4.9Mo 0.65Ti) offering even higher strength levels up to 350 ksi. These materials are widely used in aerospace missile and rocket motor cases, aircraft landing gear, and high-strength fasteners requiring exceptional fracture toughness.
